Nurse, Neonatal Department, Falun Job Responsibilities

As a nurse, you are responsible for the care of children/families, where child- and family-centered developmental supportive care is fundamental.

You will work in a team with pediatric nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, social workers, dietitians, and physiotherapists. We work purposefully and systematically with care development and professional development.

Rotating shifts day/evening/night 100%, with the possibility of part-time. Start date according to agreement.

Individual onboarding: It is important that you feel safe and secure in your work. With us, you will receive a tailored onboarding of 10 weeks. During your initial time as a nurse, you will be responsible for fewer patients.

  • Foundation year: We have a structured internal training program with allocated time for lectures on neonatal care, neonatal conditions, medical technology, practical exercises, etc.

We apply an individual schedule. You should be able to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Region Dalarna's compensation for night work is higher than the national agreement, as well as a lower weekly working time for night work.

The neonatal department is part of the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Clinic, where we support each other across unit boundaries. After tailored onboarding, some work may occur in the older children's department.

As the first-line manager for the Neonatal Department, I care that everyone is part of a team. This means you should feel secure in knowing you can get support from me and the deputy first-line manager, as well as from your other colleagues. We bounce ideas, help, and support each other daily, which is important for all of us to be able to do good work and develop, but also to make it feel enjoyable to go to work.
